Gary S. Laben

Chief Executive Officer  



Gary has more than 30 years of executive leadership and experience in leveraging data to power marketing decisions and has a track record of growing businesses organically and through acquisition in the fast-moving world of data-driven marketing. In 2018, he successfully led the merger of Research Now and SSI, now rebranded as Dynata. He has been involved in the marketing services community, volunteering in various leadership roles with organizations such as Marketing Edge, the Taylor Institute for Director Marketing, and the Direct Marketing Association. For his industry achievements, he has been honored by Marketing Edge (the Edward N. Mayer Jr. Education Leadership Award) and the Direct Marketing Club of New York (Silver Apple Award). Before joining Research Now as CEO in 2016, Gary was Global Chief Data Officer of Wunderman and CEO of KBM Group. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Sloane Googin

Chief Financial Officer



Sloane joined the company in 2018 after operating as SVP of Global Financial Planning and Analysis at The Nielsen Company. He was responsible for nearly all aspects of finance with an emphasis on process and operational improvements, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning. He also served as CFO to various Nielsen business units, including the Global Business Services Division. Prior to his time at Nielsen, he held various executive finance positions at General Electric Company and General Electric Capital. Sloane received his BS in Information Systems from the University of Connecticut.

Kalyan Raman

Chief Technology Officer



Kalyan has more than 15 years of experience in technology related to data, analytics and insights. Prior to joining the company, Kalyan was CTO of the global buy business for The Nielsen Company, serving their CPG and retail clients. Before Nielsen, he was with Tata Consultancy Services as Business Intelligence and Performance Management Practice leader supporting various clients in North America. Kalyan graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology with a PhD in Mathematics. His research interests include optimization, machine learning, data integration and high performance computational platforms. He has won various awards, including the Arthur C. Nielsen Award for outstanding leadership, and was selected as part of the “Top 100 under 50” for executive leadership in 2014 by Diversity MBA Magazine.

Ashlin QuirkAshlin Quirk

General Counsel and Corporate Secretary



Ashlin Quirk joined the company as General Counsel and Secretary in 2012. She has more than 20 years of legal experience, specializing in privacy and advertising/marketing law. Immediately prior, she was Privacy and Data Protection Counsel for MasterCard, where she was responsible for ensuring legal compliance with applicable privacy laws in connection with MasterCard’s global marketing initiatives. Ashlin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University.

Melanie Courtright

EVP, Global Research Science



Since joining the company in 2011, Melanie has shaped a team that is passionate about research sampling, quality and world-class client service. She has spent more than two decades designing, executing, and interpreting research for agencies and corporations, having started her career at a full-service research firm where she developed a strong research background. For the last decade, Melanie has developed expertise in all forms of digital research including online, mobile and social. An industry voice regarding market research trends, she participates in quality councils reviewing standards and codes of conduct; is on the executive board of the University of Georgia’s MRII Education program, and is a U.S. representative to ESOMAR, among other activities. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Dallas Baptist University.

Bob FawsonBob Fawson

EVP,  Panel and Partnerships



Bob directs and oversees the conceptualization and creation of products and solutions built around the company’s core asset of first-party panel data. The scope of product development for application across the marketing spectrum from market research to advertising, encompasses partnerships with third-party data companies; data integration methods; and data delivery platforms and methodologies, including DIY and automated market research tools as well as those for audience validation and verification. Previously, Bob served as Chief Access, Supply and Engagement Officer at Opinionology, which joined with Survey Sampling International in 2011. At Opinionology, he expanded the company’s portfolio of online sampling methods and improved methods for managing online panels. He earned a Master’s degree in Political Science and aMaster’s degree in Applied Economics from Utah State University.

Michel Guidi

Managing Director, International



Michel ensures that the company’s global sales teams provide the best customer experience and support customer success. Before becoming Managing Director International in 2017, as Managing Director Europe he led the company’s steady growth on the continent for almost a dozen years, creating eleven offices in nine countries. In addition to his role in Europe, during that time he contributed to developing the APAC business, and led the Professional Services organization. Prior to joining the company, he was Vice President of Operations at Ciao, based in Madrid – making him a 17-year online data collection veteran. Previously, he worked as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney, and a junior brand manager at L’Oréal. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from ESSEC in Paris.

Ryan Jantz

EVP,  Global Operations



Ryan leads a global team responsible for panel recruitment, engagement and retention. He works across the company’s traditional online and integrated panels and initiates partnerships with global brands for access to their rewards and loyalty members. He also develops survey populations in emerging growth areas such as mobile, cookied and behavioral panels. Having built one of the broadest offerings of B2B and B2C data, he oversees the profiling and segmentation of the company’s data, ensuring its value as a core asset of the company. Along with this, Ryan spearheads the quality of the panel data via a comprehensive system of maintenance and fraud prevention. Since joining the company in 2007, Ryan has served in various areas across the business, including sales, innovation and finance. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Baylor University.

Tom Johnson

EVP,  Sales & Customer Experience, Americas



Tom is a seasoned sales executive and sales organization leader, with experience selling to global Fortune 500 clients in B2B information andmarket research. He leads client development activities in the U.S. and Canada, driving sales execution and new business development, while building client-focused relationships internally with the services, product and marketing organizations. Prior to joining the company, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales Strategy for Interactive Data Corporation (IDC). Previously, Tom was Senior Vice President of North American Sales and Client Services for Survey Sampling, Inc. and was with Gartner, Inc. where he was Group Vice President, North American Consulting. Tom holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Barbara Palmer

EVP,  Marketing



Barbara leads global marketing with a focus on building brand awareness, supporting sales and business development, sharing knowledge about the company’s products and solutions, and educating the marketplace through relevant thought leadership. With extensive experience working with data and technology companies, Barbara ensures that the company has consistent global marketing strategy and positioning that resonate with customers, prospects and the industry. Before joining the company in 2016, she was Senior Vice President, Marketing, at Wunderman and headed marketing at KBM Group. Before that she was Vice President, Group Manager at Cohn & Wolfe and had her own business, Palmer Communications. Barbara has a Bachelor of Arts from New York University, where she majored in Journalism..

Mary RusterholzMary Rusterholz

EVP,  Talent Management



Prior to joining SSI in 2012, Mary spent 14 years with Affinion Group where she held the role of Executive Vice President, Support Services and Senior Vice President, Human Resources. She was responsible for global human resources and facilities management, supporting 4,500 employees across the US and 12 European countries. Before Affinion, she spent 14 years with French-owned group DANONE in their US Water Division as Vice President Human Resources. Within the Dairy Division, where she held multiple roles including Manager of Organization Development, charged with driving efficiency in structure and process. Mary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management from Pace University, New York.

Tiama Hanson-Drury

EVP,  Product Development



Tiama brings extensive experience in data-driven product development. A veteran of the digital insights space, her expertise includes data and insights platforms, digital advertising measurement, mobile apps, ad tech, and strategic product planning. Before joining Dynata, she was EVP, Global Product, at Zappistore, where she was responsible for product strategy, product development, and execution and implementation. Prior to that, she led global technology partnerships as well as launched Zappistore’s advertising measurement solution.  Tiama also held a variety of roles at Lightspeed, including Director of Product Development, where she focused on programmatic, data and mobile products in the fast-paced ad-tech arena. Actively involved in the marketing services community and committed to supporting diversity, she helped develop mentorship and diversity efforts at Kantar Lightspeed and Zappi as well as Women In Research (WiRE). She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from University of Washington.

Yaron Zimmerman

General Manager Emerging Platforms



Experienced in operations, growth planning, sales enablement, process reengineering and M&A integration, Yaron develops and deploys value-creating strategies.  As General Manager, Emerging Platforms, he ensures that the teams focused on new products and emerging platforms are operationally and commercially aligned, and synchronized to deliver on both top- and bottom-lines.  His previous positions at Dynata include Chief of Staff; Sr. Director, Corporate Planning, and head of Sales Strategy. Prior to joining the company, he was Senior Product Manager at Avery Dennison, where he led planning and execution of global new business ventures. Prior to that, he served as Sales and Marketing Manager and Operations Manager at Anavid Insulation Products. He also served in the Israeli Defense Force Air Force Special Forces. He has an MBA from The Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth and a Bachelor of Technology from the Jerusalem College of Engineering.
